. One of a series of annual scrapbooks kept by Elaine Brockhouse, 91-year-old niece of William D. Pawley, who initiated the formation of the famous American volunteer group of airmen known as the Flying Tigers who supported China in World War II from an aircraft manufacturing and supply base he organized in India. He was a confidant of Presidents Truman and Eisenhower and U.S. ambassador to Peru and Brazil after World War II.
The scrapbook is 9 X 12 in. and very thick. Includes a 1960 sample ballot sent out by the Republican Party, Youth for Nixon-Lodge brochure by the Floridans for Nixon-Lodge, "Where's Johnny and two other anti-Kennedy brochures, United Fund campaign materials, a Tupperwear hostess recruitment brochure, a "Win the Cold War or Else" Freedom Seminar in Miami program, 1961 Orange Bowl program - Missouri Vs.
