    The owner of the scrapbook was Mrs.Emily Pratt Dolph from Essex Connecticut. Her good friend W.B. Tiffany wrote many of the poems in this scrapbook. They consist of a number of Children's Memorial poems, some Birthday poems, Wedding poems, Anniversary poems, Religious poems among others.
    The scrapbook contains 98 numbered pages and measures 9" wide and 11" high
    Weight comes in at 2 pounds
    My condition observations:
    The hardcover scrapbook comes lightly used and is in "very fine plus condition" and probably better than that.
    The front hard cover shows corner wear. It comes embossed with birds, flowers, grapes and a daisy border. The colors are gold and silver and dark brown with a dark green background. I see only some very minor loss of color and no indication of fading.
    The spine shows some wear along the top and bottom edges. The gold design is intact but does show areas of fading.
    The back hard cover shows corner wear and minor scuff marks. It shows an attractive engraved design along with an engraved patent date of 1876.
    The content pages are in the fine condition.. All are firmly attached to the spine. All show age toning, minor edge wear and some show shadow like images from the pages they were next too. Page 7 shows a 3" separation from the spine but is still attached to the spine. I see no cut-outs, no tears, and no missing pages. Some of the pages are empty.
    Many of the poems have been cut-out from either newspaper or magazine articles and then glued onto the scrapbook pages. Some of the poems are hand written onto the pages of the scrapbook. All the poems are original and all are decorated with the appropriate die cuts.
    The die cuts are in pristine condition. All show great color and details with some showing gold detailing. All are glued onto the pages of the scrapbook.
