    Description

    Western Auto was started in 1909 in Kansas City, Missouri.  The first retail store started in 1921.  This large chain of 1200 auto supply stores was started by George Pepperdine, of Pepperdine University, and Don Davis.  In 1961, the company was sold to Beneficial Corporation, in 1985 to the management, in 1988 to Sears, in 1998 to Advance Auto Parts, and that was then the end of Western Auto.
    This is a nice little reminder of a great company.  I bought my first Western Flyer bike from Western Auto.  A beautiful red bike I admired in the window for months.
    It is a rubber coin purse. Pinch on the ends would reveal you coins.
