Slap Shot is a 1977 comedy film directed by George Roy Hill, written by Nancy Dowd and starring Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean. It depicts a minor league hockey team that resorts to violent play to gain popularity in a declining factory town.
During the filming of the movie Slap Shot in Johnstown PA this vintage Victoriaville wooden Pittsburgh Penguins stick was signed by David Hanson, Steve Carlson, Jeff Carlson, Ron Docken and Guido Tenesi outside the War Memorial arena.
Signed in black ink every signature was authenticated by PSA DNA and certified authentic.
It's been 40 years since this extremely rare Hanson brothers autographed Pittsburgh Penguins stick has been available for sale.
Condition is very good with some fading and aging on the stick.
